Art Services
Sale, appraisal, or search assignment: swift, personal, and purpose-driven advice

Acquiring or selling a work of art demands expert knowledge of the dynamic art market. For Dutch artworks from 1880–1950, The Scholte Collection provides trusted guidance and discreet support in purchasing and selling, including auction acquisitions, deaccessioning, bespoke search assignments, framing, and the careful preservation and restoration of your valuable pieces.

For prompt and personal service, a dedicated WhatsApp line is available. You may contact me directly at +31 6 10325828 for inquiries or advice, with an initial response within 24 hours.

For certain works, placing them on consignment can be the most effective way to find the right collector. As a broker, I provide expert services to facilitate the sale of your artwork. During the consignment period, I will actively seek a suitable buyer, whether a private collector, institution, or museum. A formal agreement will be drawn up between you, the consignor, and my art dealership, the consignee. This contract includes a detailed description of the artwork and specifies the proceeds due to you upon sale.

Ownership of the artwork remains with you throughout the consignment period, while I ensure it is properly insured. Consignment sales are conducted on a “no cure, no pay” basis, and I accept only works that align with the focus and quality of my collection.
